You have been asked to write a philosophy statement as part of the application process for a professional position in the Hospitality setting you are most interested in.  Select a business or organization that you do not work for and have not worked for in the past (learn about jobs available in your field, the requirements for each job, what the agency is looking for in potential hires).

The organization or company wants to learn more about you and what you stand for.  This is a personal statement, so use first person (I believe . . .  My philosophy is . . .).  Reflect on each of the following in your philosophy statement (PLEASE label and number sections):

1. What is important to you professionally? 

2. How will your values and beliefs impact your work and the direction of the organization or company? 

3. How do your principles guide your approach to work? 

4. What will you bring to the organization?

5.  How does your philosophy connect with the mission/vision/value/goal statements of the organization or company?
