Kelly McGonigal on Stress:

Chasing meaning is better for your health than trying to avoid discomfort. The best way to make decisions is to go after what it is that creates meaning in your life and then trust yourself to hand the stress that follows.

This video illustrates one example of managing stress with a mind-body approach. We can't eliminate the stressors in our life or act like stress doesn't exist. As such, we should make the best of the situation by learning to grow. Although there are some good points with this approach, this is not a technique that will work for everyone. For example, we all have behavioral habits that correlate with Type A or B personality characteristics. How you handle and approach this type of stress management technique will be determined by how you develop the kinds of behavioral habits that correlate with Type B personality characteristics.
