First download Tableau on your computer. https://public.tableau.com/app/discover ‘Download Tableau Desktop Public Edition’

Pull a data set (I prefer xls which is Excel). https://public.tableau.com/app/learn/sample-data

After downloading Tableau and a data file. Open Tableau.
