The purpose of this project is to understand that schools are social institutions with complex, culturally constructed, and contextualized histories. Your goal is to explore and question your own identities and educational experiences and situate these within multiple historical narratives about schooling. The product you create for this assignment will be multi-modal and should include digital elements. This could be a Webpage, Prezi, Adobe Spark Presentation, or you can use another multimedia format.  As you develop your project, you may focus on one stage of your schooling (elementary, middle, or high school), multiple stages, or your schooling holistically. 

Please use the following topics and questions to guide your project development. You are not expected to address every single question, but you should address each theme. Your project should make connections between your educational opportunities and experiences, your social identities, and the social context of the time and place you grew up in.
