Your presentation should include the following:

1. Explain how administrative agencies are created and describe the types of agencies and their powers.
2. Evaluate the three basic functions of administrative agencies on rulemaking, enforcement, and adjudication.
3. Analyze the role of the judiciary on administrative agency authority and rulemaking by focusing on how oversight by the courts is a check and balance on administrative agencies. Provide two examples where the courts found the agency’s ruling and authority valid.
4. Research a recent case within the last two years of a court overturning an administrative agency’s decision. Explain the facts of the case and the court’s reasoning for the decision.
5. Use at least four quality sources to support your writing and information. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed at least one time within your PowerPoint presentation and citations should be consistent with your Source page.
6. Produce writing that is clear and well organized and applies appropriate SWS style. Writing contains accurate grammar, mechanics, and spelling.
